| Appearance: Head: Broad skull that is proportioned to the size of the dog. Eyes: Large, soft, affectionate looking and set wide apart. Ears: Medium in size, covered with hair, hanging and set at level with the eyes. Muzzle: Medium and tapering to a point. Nose: Black and self-colored according to coat. Bite: Scissor or level. Neck: Strong, slightly arched, and in proportion to the length of the body. Chest: Deep and reaching at least to the elbows, with well-sprung ribs. Body: Longer than it is high, with level back that blends into the curved rump. Legs: Forelegs are straight and covered with shaggy hair all around. Hind legs are powerful and muscular. Feet: Oval-shaped and well padded, with toes arched and close together. Tail: Set low and long enough to reach the hocks. Carried with an upward swirl at tip. Movement: Swift and very agile, with flowing gait. Temperament: High-spirited, yet very lovable. |
